Electronic File Specifications

At Sign Art, we strive to give you the best quality possible. There are many file formats. Please refer below to see what is the most appropriate for you and consider our guidelines.

Preferred Program Formats

We work in a Windows PC environment. EPS files are the best formats to give us because that is what we print from. Here is a list of our preferred files and extensions.
All universal file formats (.eps, .tif, .jpg, .pdf)
Adobe Illustrator (CS4 or lower) (.ai)
Adobe Photoshop (CS4 or lower) (.psd)
If you are working with another software application, please call us.

Digital Applications

Here are some points to consider while preparing your files for us.
High resolution files are ideal (minimum 200 dpi recommended at full output size)
We can accept .tif and .jpg files - but they must be high resolution images.
Images from web pages are too small and too low of resolution.
Covert all fonts to outlines.
PMS colors must be noted.
Do not convert PMS colors to process.
We prefer images to be embedded in Adobe Illustrator files. If files must be linked in a document, include the images and Illustrator file, all in the same folder.

Getting Files to Sign Art

Email - This is the best method to send files under 5MB. design@signartetc.com
FTP Site - Go to www.yousendit.com to send images over 5MB and up to 100MB.
